 DOWDEN - CHAPMAN

 

Marion is looking for her Canadian father Sidney Dowden. He was stationed near Crawley, Sussex during 1943.  Marion was born in April 1944 so was conceived August 1943.

Marion's mother Doreen Chapman was 23 years old.

Tragedy struck when 10 weeks after the birth of Marion, Doreen was killed by a "Doodlebug" (V1 Flying Bomb).

Marion was raised by her auntie.
