DOUGLAS  -  STENNING-WEST

Susan is trying to trace her father, she only has a first name DOUGLAS.  He was stationed in the Shoreham area of West Sussex, England in May 1942 and was still in the area when Susan was born 29th January 1943. Susan's mother DOROTHY STENNING-WEST was in the A.T.S. and stationed at Shoreham, West Sussex. She lived in Lancing, West Sussex at the time.

Susan remembers a photo of DOUGLAS signed "with love Douglas" He was in Army uniform but went missing when her mother died.  One of Susan's uncle's remembers seeing him at the house when Susan was born sitting on a chair holding Susan with a "proud grin on his face" Other members of the family are either dead or can't remember.
