STUBBING

Patricia is looking for her father/family in Canada.

Patricia hasn't got much information about her family. Her father was a Canadian serviceman stationed in the Worthing area of West Sussex, England. She has no name for him or any other information. Patricia was born November 1943, so was conceived about the 10th Feb 1943.

Patricia's mother was Peggy Stubbing and was 21 years old when she had Patricia. She worked as a laundress and lived in Guildford Road, Worthing, she went deaf at the age of six after she had caught measles. She enjoyed playing darts and dancing and won cups. You would never of known she was deaf as she was so good at lip reading. Patricia was adopted at six weeks old and her foster mother took her to her new family in Stourbridge by train. Her Canadian  father helping to pay the expenses.  Patricia was told that her father was "a married Canadian said to be a fine handsome man" with " a charming personality"  Patricia never managed to meet her mother Peggy, who died in 1963.
